Creating an illusion using everyday objects to resemble scenes found in the natural world was the main objective of this body of work. Hints were incorporated subtly throughout the photographs to reveal how they were constructed, therefore allowing the perception of both reality and illusion; e.g., cotton with strings or cloud formations. This series demonstrates the concept that, as humans, we perceive images based on our previous knowledge; recognizing objects based on what we are familiar with. We see these structures as clouds because they are objects that we can relate to and make sense of. Digital/Ink-Jet Prints on Natural Rag.
